Our PetitionSummary of AimTo support the manufacturing based and green jobs on the Island Full Text of PetitionTo: The Isle of Wight Council We, the undersigned, express massive concern about the devastating effect on the Island's economy which will result from the loss of 600 jobs at Vestas. We also deplore the lack of adequate action on the part of the Isle of Wight Council so far in terms of addressing this issue. We call on the council to take urgent steps to take up this matter more actively with the government & Vestas to ensure the maintenance of an ongoing manufacturing base and green jobs on the Isle of Wight.
